What Causes Thickness In Endometrium? Suggest Medication
Hi I have got a question.My period is almost normal , i have got bleeding for only 2 days and then finishes.But the lining of my womb is very thick (17 mm) and my doctor has suggested endometrial ablation. But I am not convinced at all , is there any other way? Why the endometrium is so thick/ any medication?

Anyhow the possible causes of thickened endometrium are:
-Reproductive hormonal imbalance, hormone producing tumors
-Endometrial malignancy
-Intake of hormonal drugs
-Pregnancy, etc.
So, as your endometrium is having 17 mm thickness, which is abnormal, your doctor might have suggested treatment.
Endometrial ablation is a procedure in which the endometrium will get destroyed. So, generally before going for endometrial ablation, better to go for endometrial biopsy first.
By doing the histopathological examination of the endometrium, the possible cause of your problem can be identified and treatment can be planned accordingly.
