Brief Answer:
Could be cradle cap

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

I have gone carefully through your query and understand your concerns. I think that the mentioned complaint is actually due to a collection of the sebaceous secretions.

Cradle cap is a yellowish, often blackish, patchy, greasy, scaly and crusty skin rash that occurs on the scalp of babies. It is usually not itchy and does not bother the baby. Possibly it has to do with overactive sebaceous glands in the skin of newborn babies. Usually, they do not require any intervention.

However, I would insist you upload an image. It will help me to confirm on what it possibly is.

I would await your response. Let me know if I could help further.

Brief Answer:
Hyperpigmented nevus

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for writing back.

I have checked the attached images. The black spot is a hyperpigmented nevus. It is normal and not a cause for concern. It may persist for life and nothing needs to be done about it. It is not what I had suggested in my earlier communication.

Feel free to write back.

Brief Answer:
Possibly some minor trauma had led to healing my crusting.

Detailed Answer:
If it is peeling off it is not a hyperpigmented nevus. Possibly some minor trauma had led to healing my crusting. The crust is eventually coming out. That is normal and not a cause for concern.
