Question: I have been having issues with my stomach or gall bladder, when I eat, I don't feel so good afterwards and if I eat fried foods especially at night I wake up in the middle of the night and I start swallowing really hard so I don't throw up. What do you think is wrong?

Brief Answer:
PPI, bowel regulator, Endoscopy USG

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query.

The symptoms you are getting is a part of the acid peptic disease.
Fried food irritates the stomach and may be the hold-up in the stomach is more than the normal period of 3 hours.

So you wake up in the middle of the night with a reflux. This is called a GERD.

It is good that you are already taking antacids. You have to repeat it whenever you are empty stomach and try to take it at 3 to 4 hourly interval.

You need to add a PPI and Domperidone or such bowel movement regulator as per the advise and prescription of your Doctor. You may request your Doctor to refer you to to a Gastroenterologist for clinical evaluation and Upper GI Endoscopy; and ultrasonography to rule out associated problems of gall bladder and pancreas.

You have to take soft bland diet, avoid all those food and beverages which you must be knowing by this time are causing or enhancing your problems. Try to divide your total intake into 4 parts and to have have an early Dinner.
Stress-free life-style helps to alleviate such problems faster.

I hope this helps you.
Feel free to ask further, if you need to.
