Question: Hi, I am 60 and Have been on HRT for 4 years. My MD recently switched me from nora-b to 100 mg micronized progesterone. My symptoms of being bloated, facial hair, hot flashes have come back. Could a higher dose of the micronized progesterone calm these symptoms? and was Nora-b not good to take?

Brief Answer:
It is okay to take Nora-b

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to healthcare magic.
I am Dr Ramaevi Wani. I will be answering your concerns today.

Your doctor must have prescribed micronized progesterone as it is a more natural product. If it is not helping you you can go back to taking Nora-b. Stop Nora-b after a year and see. If the hot flashes have stopped ( which is usually the case), you can stop taking XXXXXXX -b.

I hope this is helpful.
If you have further concerns, i will be happy to answer.
Best wishes,
Dr Ramadevi Wani
