What Causes A Lump In The Armpit And Fever?
Question: i have a fever of 101 bad co!d symptoms and a lump in my armpit the size of a large grape that hurts

Your fever needs an antipyretic medication (eg. PARACETAMOL 650mg) taken after food at an interval of 8 hours.
As for cold symptoms you need to take an anti-histaminic (CETRIZINE 10mg once daily at bedtime) for the running nose, soothing throat lozenges for sore throat and a cough suppressant for cough.
Do XXXXXXX warm salt water gurgling thrice daily for the time being.
The lump under your armpit is probably a lymph node reaction to your common Cold infection.. that is nothing to worry about at present and requires no medication except for a pain killer for the pain ..
It should be expected to return back to normal size slowly within the following few weeks..

i Visited a doctor who prescribed amox-clav for the infection. and benzonatate for bronchitis. the swelling has spread from the right side to the left side. at first it seemed like it was getting better and the pain subsided. but today it is back. if this doesn't get better what type of specialist should I see
