The medical issues are high blood pressure and thyroid problems, very low testosterone level : checked from a blood test. a back and knee injury are reasons for inhibited walking and some leg tremors. A little hard to stay asleep for long periods of time. I use a sleep cpap machine always when sleeping at home. psychiatric episodes of depression and some anxiety of past experiences are what I like treatment for the other medications on the list, . Seems the combination of these medicines are giving me sleepiness during day. please look at this medicine list and adjust a treatment plan. sincerelyXXXX

Brief Answer: Not a good prescription Detailed Answer: Hello Well, did you know that you were on two antidepressants, two sleepmeds and a mood stabilizer, an antipsychotic and various other drugs with sedative potential. Well you have not stated the drug dosage but many times psychiatrists instead of exploring one drug upto their maximum dosage, start a newer drug and then continue both at lower dosage. This doesnt help the illness. I am not sure if that is the thing in your case, but it is very much possible. Before starting a second antidepressant, mirtazapine should have been tried uptil the dose of 45 mg (gradually increasing the dosage). The abilify may not be requiredif you have only depression or anxeity. Infact quetiapine or olazapine could have been a better option as compared to abilify. Do meet your psychiatrist and discuss these issues with him and then change the medications as per his discussion. If the depression is so resistant then along with the medicines you should have tried cognitive behavioural therapy as well. This therapy is taken by either a psychologist or a psychiatrist in which the therapist identifies impaired cognitions (Thoughts) and try to correct them. They are 15-20 min weekly session and there should be around 8-10 sessions to help you with your illness. Hope I am able to answer your concerns. If you have any further query, I would be glad to help you. If not, you may close the discussion and if possible you may rate the answer for me, so that I get a good feedback.
