Suggest Treatment For Swelling Of Right Foot
Question: I am regularly taking amtas-5 .recently i notice swelling of right foot. iwas told it may due to long use of amlodopin as other pathological tests are well within limits like liver function tests,lipid,kidnney fn tests etc. please advise me alternative med to amlodopin.thanks.

Yes even I agree that Amlodipine can cause swelling of the foot and in your case since other tests done have come normal ( as per your words ) I think Amtas IS THE cause of your Feet swelling .
Now what alternative to be given depends on whether you have any additional problems apart from High BP. So I need to know whether you have any Diabetes , Kidney Problems , Breathing difficulty , Asthma/ Bronchitis .
Kindly let me know . Also let me know your recent Serum Potassium and Creatinine Level.
