Hello!

Welcome and thank you for asking on HCM!

Regarding your concern, I would explain that her symptoms seem to be related to low blood pressure, probably caused by dehydration or hot weather.

You have done the best thing in this situation (a lot of water and bed rest).

Aspirin is also helpful to prevent any stroke from low blood pressure , which causes low brain perfusion.

I would recommend avoiding prolonged standing up position and hot places.

She should increase salt in her diet and take plenty of fluids.

Coffee would also be helpful.

If her situation doesn't improve in the next hours, I recommend bringing her to the Er for s physical examination and some tests :

- a restingECG
-complete blood count for anemia
- blood electrolytes
- fasting glucose
- kidney and liver function tests

She may need to take intravenous fluids and electrolytes.

Hope to have been helpful!

Kind regards,

Dr. Iliri

Hello again!

I am glad to have been helpful!

A check up would help exclude other metabolic causes ( chronic anemia, electrolytes imbalance) that may lead to this symptomatology.

Best wishes,
