Brief Answer:
This spot does not seem to be a cancer.

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Thank you for the query.

Can you please attach a photo of it so I can give more precise answer?

First of all you need to know that cancer does not act like that. Cancer is almost always painless, especially if it appears on skin surface. So you should not be concerned about any cancer.

Pain usually indicates some inflammation. Infected sebaceus cyst or hair follicle inflammation are most common reasons in this location. You may be able to palpate some kind of lump in the painful area. Headache due to inflammation is also common symptom.

Infected sebaceus cyst should be incised and drained. Antibiotic might be necessary especially that this area is close to the brain.

I suggest you to consult dermatologist or general surgeon with this problem.

Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.

I may be able to have someone take a picture. My friend says it looks like it could become a zit or looks like a bug bite. Thank you for the reassurance that it probably is not cancer! Should I just take an anti inflammatory such as Ibuprofen for the inflammation for now until I can get to a doctor? Or is this urgent and needs treated like going to an emergency room?

Brief Answer:
This is not an urgent case.

Detailed Answer:
If your heart rate is lower than 100, no fever, nausea, weakness, this is not an urgent condition. In such case you may take Ibuprophen and consult your doctor in the time he will be available.

Regards.
