Brief Answer:
Urine culture and ultrasound are mandatory now

Detailed Answer:
Hello, Sir.

I can understand your concerns.

At this point, it's important to get a urinary culture and sensitivity plus a Renal ultrasound to determine the further course of action.

This seems to be a resistant infection.

I would like to know if had Renal Scan for your baby earlier ?.If yes, please upload reports.

Thank you

We met doctor today and told abdominal scanning is not required, suggested again to take CBP and MALARIA, even he told complete urine examination is also not required.

what he said was he is trying out "cefpodoxime proxetil " , if this medicine won't work he suggested to admit to hospital.

we will get latest test reports tomorrow morning.

we recorded the fever levels today and giving 3ml colpol 250 mg for every 4hrs through out the day stopped MEFTAL-P but gave once when temperature exceeded 101 and did not come under control immediately.

Brief Answer:
Ultrasound and UrineC/S are mandatory in children with UTI

Detailed Answer:
Hello, XXXXXXX

I apologize for the delayed response owning to my work schedule.

I have worked through your query in detail again.

Herclab reports suggest urinary tract infection as reflected by marginally elevated WBC count, fluctuations in temperature and pus cells on urine examination.

It is always best to avoid empirical antibiotic therapy in children with UTI as far as possible.

Organism specific therapy offers best results and possible cure and more importantly prevent future risks of Renal complications.

At this point, it's important to get an ultrasound as well.

In case if you have already started Cefpodixime , continue it .Change the antibiotics based on culture and sensitivity results later.

It's advisable to consult an Internal Medicine Specialist or a Nephrologist(either paediatric or adult) for expert management.

Post your further queries if any.
Thank you
