Welcome at HCM
I have gone through your query and being your physician I completely understand your health concerns.
Are you running temperature? Do you have headache?
Based upon the history it seem that you have got common cold associated with sinusitis (infection of the sinus). You may need to seek ENT advice for proper management. If I am your attending physician I will definitely prescribe you antibiotics from penicillin group along with antiallergic medications like cetrizine. Nasal decongesants sprays and pain killers like acetaminophen are very helpful in this setting.
Apart from this , you should really avoid exposure to cold and wear face mask . Do regular saline gargles three times a day coupled with hot fluids like coffee. It has got soothing effect on throat and helps you relieve symptoms.
Take the medicine before flight and use hot coffee during flight. It will really help you a lot.
Hope your query is adequately addressed , if you still have any feel free to ask
May you get well soon I wish you a safe journey ahead.
Regards
Dr Saad
