Question: After eating Mexican food on Tuesday I awoke to stomach cramping, loose stools which has happened for the last three days. It seems to do better with no food on my stomach but it still continues to cramp, burn, and hurt?

Brief Answer:
Traveler's diarrhea most likely

Detailed Answer:
Hello, Dear Ashley! Thank you for asking HealthcareMagic.
I have gone through your question and I can understand your concern.

It could be a food poising -'"traveler's diarrhea ".
As I understand from your medication, you have started the treatment already by yourself (Pepto etc.).
Need sometimes until full recovery (maximum 1 week)..

If you don't have any fever or blood in stools, it is better to take loperamide (Imodium ) helps more against diarrhea and cramping.

Stay hydrated -Take plenty of water (liquids ), use ORS ( to compensate the electrolytes that you lost ).

Burning sensation could be caused by the heartburn.

Why did you take Zofran? (it's antiemetic against nausea and vomiting ) Did you have nausea and vomiting after eating Mexican food or for other reason (nausea from heart burn ...).?
I can see you've taken Pepto, tums and other heartburn medication ( Did you take any omeprazole, or other drugs for heartburn?) it would be good to take only one medication against heartburn at the same time because they interfere with each other.

Feel free to ask further.
Take Care!

I worked at an oral surgeons office and just was trying for any kind of relief. I didn't take any of the Meds near each other but each day to see if it would help. I would get a little nauseous in the beginning but it has subsided and is now a cramping burning sensation.

Brief Answer:
Here are some proper treatment

Detailed Answer:
Hello again!
I would still recommend to take Loperamide(Imodium ) for the cramps, nothing else.
Stay hydrated and use ORS.
Don't use Zofran if you don't have nausea.
For a proper treatment of heartburn I would suggest to take:

-PPI drugs(proton pump inhibitors ) Omeprazole /esomeprazole 20mg once day for 4 weeks.
or
Ranitidine 150mg /2times a day for 4 weeks.
And follow a healthy diet: Avoid spicey, avoid coffe, alcohol or smoking (if you use ), avoid fried food, eat small meals (portion ) several times during a day.

If besides diarrhea you start to have fever or blood in stools, then you need to go a local doctor to take antibiotics for possible bacterial infection.

Hope these are helpful.
Do write me back if you have any further questions.
Take Care.
Dr Balliu.
