Suggest Treatment For Rashes All Over The Body

default
Posted on Sat, 15 Apr 2017
Question: My daughter just turned 4, she is normally healthy and doesn't have any health problems. However the last week or so she's had random fevers and today she woke up with a rash all over her face and body that looks like small red circles. The urgent care said its nothing, but I'm just worried cause she looks kinda pale and her heart rate is only 68bmp. Is that normal or should i be worried?

Brief Answer:
Small red circular rashes can be allergic urticaria, No need to worry much

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thanks for asking on this platform

Sudden onset of circular red rashes all over body is most likely due to some allergy.
I would like to know if the rashes are itchy and/or raised from skin. Also let me know if there is past history of allergy or any family history of allergy.Skin lesions are better diagnosed by direct examination so if possible attach an image for better evaluation. I don't think these rashes are related to previous episodes of fever.
I won't get overly worried if child is otherwise active, feeding well and there is no breathing problem.Heart rate of 68 is considered to be normal. Please monitor it and consult your physician if it drops below 60/min.
Giving anti allergic medication helps in most of the cases.

I hope this helps.

No history of allergic reactions, but they are itchy. Otherwise she is normal and active and eats great. It's 60bmp too low if she's sleeping?

Have seen the images and as I assumed earlier it appears to be allergic.
No need to worry as it usually improves with anti allergic medication.
I won't get worried for heart rate as sleeping heart rate can vary and child is otherwise active.

Wishing all good health for your baby.
