Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Thank you for asking on HCM!

I carefully passed through your question and would explain that your symptoms (pain in the left inside arm) seem to be related to an extra-cardiac cause (musculo-skeletal pain, gastro-esophageal reflux, a pinched nerve).

I would exclude any cardiac causes, because your symptoms are not typical of any cardiac disorders.

The muscle cramps raise suspicion of an electrolyte imbalance or inflammation.

Coming to this point, I would recommend consulting with your attending physician for a careful physical exam and some tests:

- a chest X ray study
- a cervical spine X ray study for possible chronic degenerative changes of the vertebral column or a bulging intervetebral disk, which could lead to a pinched nerve
- blood electrolytes (including calcium and magnesium)
- vitamin D plasma levels for possible deficiency
- complete blood count, PCR, sedimentation rate for inflammation.

A nerve conduction study would help investigate for nerve compression in the left arm.

You should discuss with your doctor on the above issues.

Hope to have been helpful!

Kind regards,

Dr. Iliri
