Question: I have shingles in my head ,bach a long time ago it is so bad at the moment , they are shock waves going through my head every few muinets and its driving me mad

Thanks for the query

Shigles are extremely painful because it affects the nerves. Here is what you should do

1. apply calamine lotion over the area for a soothing affect
2. I prescribe pregabalin 75 mg twice day for the pain and it works well on my patients
3. if the pain still doesn't subside then I suggest tramadol twice a day
4. the pain usually takes about 4 weeks to subside
