Question: On XXXXXXX 27 I had a heart attack. A stent was placed in the blocked artery and there was no damage to the heart. I'm having chest pains (nothing like I had during the heart attack) on the far left side of my chest but not the sweating and nausea. What could be causing this?

Brief Answer:
There is a need for some tests to be in the safe side

Detailed Answer:
Dear Mrs,

Your pain can be caused either by cardiac or extracardiac factors. In your case cardiac cause may be less probable, as you have recent angiogram and stent placed.
Pay attention if the pain worsens with movements, posture change, with respiration or on palpation, pressing in pain area then it is not a cardiac pain definitely.
If your pain worsens with physical activity, then most probably there is a cardiac problem. Anyway, to be in the safe side I would advise you to see your cardiologist, to perform an ECG and a stress test if needed to exclude cardiac origin of the chestpain.

Take care
