Brief Answer:
Likely gastric discomfort / anxiety. Go to ER for precautionary measures

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

I read your question and i understand your concern. Lump in the center of the chest is basically used for chest tightness and palpitations feelings along with left side involvement . It is pretty common presentation and at young age gastric discomfort like acid reflux or dyspepsia and anxiety are the two commonest reasons.

if your child has no history of any asthma or airways illness then it is likely gastric discomfort or anxiety.

Giving aspirin might have worsened the pain. Just get him to ER to be on the safer road. They will run some labs. Put him on some IV antacids for prompt relief and work him up for surety and safety like EKG etc just to follow the standard procedure for every chest pain.

Nutshell it is gastric discomfort mimicking chest pain and will resolve , not to worry about but no harm in going to ER ( Not rushing) and getting first aid is all your son need. Thats it.

I hope it helps. take good care of your son and dont forget to close the discussion please.

Khan
