Posted on Mon, 13 Apr 2015
Question: Hi! I am very concerned... I am female, and forty. I have had some lower leg swelling bilaterally but today was the first day that I had a rash. The rash is red and there is a little heat but not as much as earlier. Also I have the sensation of a cold burn feeling in my feet as well as occasionally feeling like I stepped in something wet... I have intermittent joint pain when I walk but I haven't. I am more sedentary than I was (ballroom dance, west coast swing, and I am a rider... I don't know if this is relevant but I have epilepsy... I got rid of my couch and haven't replaced it so i have been sitting for long periods on my coffee table. I discover as employee has been stealing for the last 10 years.... Total of 100 apartments and I have been compiling numbers and such and I review medical records for an orthopedic QME... Sorry, had to find the credit card! i also have intermittent pain in my calves, legs and femoral area.... numbness in toes that started on the right. I walk around my property barefoot a lot and step on a lot of oak leaves. I get an intermittent feeling of melting in my whole body. Numbness an cold feeling in my hands. I have 3 cats and rescue baby animals (bottle feeding squirrels, possums....) I have been dropping things I have in my hands. Also I hear a crackling sound at the base of my skull when I turn my head... I am drinking a lot more (soda and water) than I get rid of... sudden sharp pains in various areas of my legs and an intermittent pain high on my leg and it feels like a deep pain...

Brief Answer:
It might be motor neurone disease

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I can understand your concerns.

From what you have told me I feel you have motor neuron disease or multiple sclerosis.

The symptoms are varied and similar to that.

your epilepsy has nothing to do with it.

Get a MRI of your brain and nerve conduction study.

That will help in finding the cause.
