Brief Answer:
supportive care

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

I read your question and i understand your concern. Cough is a common trigger of laryngitis. More important is the cause of all that like smoking, heart burn, recent flu or cold etc.

Aim of treating laryngitis is treating underlying cause as mentioned above. Rest is supportive and symptomatic care. Use of some anti inflammatory medications like motrin or corticosteroids for short term use are considered. Antibiotics can be considered if the infection or fever is associated.

breath moist air, rest your voice as much as possible, use humidifier in room, avoid irritants like dust smoke etc, avoid whispering, avoid decongestants and moisten your throat. You may use throat lozenges. Drink plenty of fluids. Laryngitis will resolve on its own in a week or two.

I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and don’t forget to close the discussion please.

Khan
