Could it be erythromelalgia or a sign of any impending neoplasticism phenomenon?
Thanks
Additionally there are skin rashes or any other overt lesions on the skin

Additionally, there are NO skin rashes or any other pathology. BTW, I am a consultant Psychiatrist practicing in XXXXXXX

I'd appreciate if you could advise if there are any chances of developing myeloproliferative disorders in the future as some websites suggest. (They say that it could be an earliest sign and precedes the onset by 2-3 years)

Brief Answer:
It can be erytromelalgia. No risk of myeloproliferative disease.

Detailed Answer:
Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.
I have gone through your all reports.
Your all reports are almost normal. No diabetes, no liver disease, no gout, no hyper cholesterol.
Moreover you don't have any other skin lesions.

So you may have erytromelalgia.
However it is rare condition and very difficult to diagnose.

However don't worry about myeloproliferative disease. Your complete blood count is absolutely normal and there is no sign of any myeloproliferative disease.

Myeloproliferative disease can leads to secondary erytromelalgia but symptoms of erytromelalgia doesn't indicate risk of myeloproliferative disease. So don't worry about that. Just be relaxed.

You should go for erytromelalgia investigation. And take treatment accordingly.

Hope I have answered your question, if you have doubt then I will be happy to answer. Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you a very good health.

Thanks Doctor,
But is it not right that erythromelagia could be a preceding symptom and there is a risk of myeloproliferative disorders in future.
It was somewhere mentioned that sometimes occurs 2-3 years before MPD .
Please clarify

Brief Answer:
No its not like that.

Detailed Answer:
Hi, dear
I can understand your concern.
But its not like that. Erytromelalgia is not the preceding symptom of myeloproliferative disease.

Myeloproliferative disease can leads to erytromelalgia. But it can be primary without any disease also. It has genetic cause regarding sodium channel.

Moreover your blood work doesn't suggest any sign of myeloproliferative or preneoplastic disease.

So forget about myeloproliferative disease. Just be relaxed. Don't worry about that.

Hope I have answered your question, if you have doubt then I will be happy to answer. Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you a very good health.
