Question: I have had a issue since I was a young teenager. I have a very itchy flakey scrotum that itches so bad sometimes it will almost bring me to my knees. Also, there are pimple like bumps that don't seem to "pop"...sometimes they do and when they do there is like a white chalky discharge. Also...there is sometimes a clear puss like substance with a smell that hovers around the rash. Very embarrassing any help would be appreciated

Brief Answer:
You need to apply clotrimazole powder or lotion over the area

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

I have carefully gone through the query and understand your concerns. The issue has two parts. Firstly, the itchiness. You could be having a fungal infection which is the likely cause of your itchiness. You need to apply candid (clotrimazole) lotion topically. At other times apply clotrimazole powder to keep the area dry. I hope that the flakiness and the itch will go away.

The second part of the problem is the pimple or bumps on the scrotal skin. Let me assure you that these are normal. These are sebaceous glands and the whitish pus like secretion is called sebum (which is not pus). You need not be concerned about them irrespective of whether they pop. These are normal. The sebum might have a bad smell but that could be due to the fungal infection. Application of clotrimaozole powder should take care of the issue.
