Question: I have has watery bowel movement, loose, mostly unformed stool for the past 2+ weeks. About 4 years ago, I had a partial (260 deg) paraesophageal hernia repair. I started having intense chest pain late last year. Recent Upper GI indicated primary, secondary AND tertiary esophageal spasms

My temp has ranged from 100.4 up to 102.8 (last night). My stomach is tender to the touch. No results yet but I've had blood tests, stool sample and a sonogram of my abdomen that lasted all most a full hour.

Hi and thank you for asking!
I read carefully all your concerns and I can say as follows:
1.You are reporting to have abdominal pain, fever and diarrhea.
These symptoms may be related to:
- acute gastrointestinal infections
- IBD (not usually at your age)
2. I would like to know your test results, so I can give an more accurate opinion regarding your concerns. Please can you upload them to me.
3. I would like to know too if your diarrhea is associated with blood or mucous.
4.Meantime continue to use electrolytes and plenty of water. I would suggest to discuss with your physician about antibiotic therapy.
Hope this will be of help to you .

Hello, my PCP called to say results of the 3rd stool sample indicate C. difficile. I am taking Metronidazole, 500 mg every 8 hours.

Since my original question, My temp went up to 103.2 deg F but I was able to get my temp under control on Friday by taking a Tylenol (tablet) every 8 hours. I haven't taken any Tylenol for the past 36+ hours. At the moment, I have kind of an oddball "reverse" temp thing going on. I'm not freezing. I have 2 digital thermometers and they both give the same readout.

With respect to watery stool, I am much improved today. Yesterday afternoon / evening I had cramps and watery diarrhea 7 times. As of right now, I've had only 2 watery emissions.

I have no appetite and am forcing myself to have 8 ounces of water every waking hour.

Hi back,
I review all your medical reports and I can say as follows:
1.Your blood results indicate about infection because you have elevate leucocyte levele up to 19000 with neutrofilia . Witch are suggestive for bacterial infection.
It can be explained by C.Difficile infection.
2. I read your abdominal ultrasound reports. It shows about two benign lesions most probably due to hemangioma. There is no need to be worried. Otherwise you should repeat ultrasound after 6 months.
3. It is a good choice to use metronidazole in cases like C.Difficile infection.
you can use probiotics too and plenty of water.
Hope it was helpful to you.
