The most common bacteria causing infection is staphylococcus and streptococcus.Sulfa drug has very high sensitivity against both these organism.
So I would like to continue the same medication.

Sulfa drug can cause nausea,vomiting,headache,uneasiness or disturb sleeping.Excessive sleepiness is not mentioned as a side effect of sulfa drug.
Patient allergic to sulpha can develop severe reaction like rash,bleeding.ulcers etc.

I suggest you to clean the infected lesion daily with antiseptic solution under proper hygiene and then apply antibiotic ointment like mupirocin for better result.

I would like to know if you are giving any other medication which can cause this excessive sleepiness.

Keep the baby hydrated well and indulge her in some playful activities to avoid drowsiness.

Although I wont get overly worried if there is no fever and she is passing urine normally.If she is complaining of headache and not eating properly I would like to get her evaluated by a pediatrician to rule out any other possibility and to be on safer side.
Mean time you can give paracetamol for headache.
