Detailed Answer:
Hello,

I looked at the picture, and it is hard to see the outlines of this rash. There are a few possibilities of what might be going on. If you can take a close up high quality picture, that would be helpful.

One possibility is a heat rash. If it has been quite hot and you were sweating, a rash can form in the area. Treatment is washing the area, applying cool compresses to it initially (after the heat exposure) and if it is quite itchy, a topical steroid cream. It will resolve on it's own.

If you have a history of allergies or asthma, it can be eczema. Treatment for that is also steroid cream, and if that isn't adequate, seeing an allergist or dermatologist.

It can also be a contact dermatitis from the skin contacting something you are sensitive to. Treatment is avoidance of what might have set it off, and steroid cream.

Finally, it can be from yeast or fungi. Ringworm, which is a fungal infection, produces dark pink rings which I don't see, but maybe you can. Yeast causes an appearance like baby's diaper rash - a reddened area with satellite small red areas. Treatment is an anti fungal/anti yeast cream.

If you can upload closer pictures, I'll take another look.

I hope this information helps.

I don't see any circles/rings (Ringworm) and I'm not sure if the smaller pink areas higher up on your arms are part of the overall rash (yeast) or from pimple/bites.

I suggest getting Cortisone cream from a drug store (over the counter) and using it for 2-3 days and seeing if it helps. If it does not, then go in to see your doctor.

Don't use the cortisone cream for longer than directed on the packaging because while it will help inflammation, it can also cause skin thinning over time.

Then I would give it a few days with using cortisone cream (thin layer of the cream and wash your hands after applying it), and keep the area cool and exposed to air as much as possible.

Avoid soaps, lotions, laundry detergents that have fragrance added (fragrance free is least irritating); and don't use dryer sheets in the dryer when you do laundry (that stuff can be pretty toxic).

Another quick question. It doesn't look like a menegitis rash does it?

Brief Answer:
Not rash from meningitis

Detailed Answer:
No, this is not characteristic of the rash people can get from meningitis.

With meningitis, people have fever, stiff painful neck especially when bending their heads forward. They feel overall ill. To get a rash from meninigitis, you would be very ill because the rash comes from septicemia (infection in the blood stream) causing blood vessels to be damaged. Do you have a high fever and feel extremely ill?

Thoughts on this

Detailed Answer:
If you are otherwise feeling ok, no fever or other overall symptoms, then I don't think this is from an infection inside your body, so you will be ok.
