Brief Answer:
Take Biotin, silica supplements

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Biotin, silica, manganese are essential vitamins and minerals that stop hair fall. So you should take Tab BIOTIN FORTE 10mg for at least two months. I hope you are already taking Iron supplements of right dose. Green leaves, fruits and vegetables should form 6 cups a day in your diet. This will greatly help.

Your PCOD and poor nutritional status are major reasons for hair fall or reduced hair growth than unproven vitamin deficiency. Hormones play a major role in the hair growth so is the iron. If you are deficient in Iron obviously nothing can help re grow hair.

Please see an Internal medicine doctor who can put you for appropriate test if you have vitamin and mineral deficiency as well.

Please let me know if anything further.

I shall start with biotin forte. Also pls suggest best suited iron tablet as I am not consuming any.
Pls also suggest necessary multivitamins and mineral tablets, and the important tests to be taken for the same.
I have heard of sawpalmetto tablets. How effective is it?

Brief Answer:
Do not take supplements unless proven deficiency

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Get Serum Vit B12, Vitamin D, Vitamin A levels checked in the blood,.

I do not suggest to take un necessary minerals and vitamins unless there is a proven deficiency either with labs or clinical symptoms. The different brands for Iron supplements are Irogold XT, Hb gain, FerroFit etc are some brands. It should match to daily dose which should be like at least 100mg per day.

I personally not a fan of saw palmetto. We do not know the pharmacology of the herbs, how they act, how they metabolize and would they interact with other supplement /drug.
