Question: I'm a type 2 diabetic. I went in to the doctor the other day because I'm been urinating more frequently. They did a urinalysis and found a trace of blood in my urine with rbc 3-10 . There was no signs of infection. I'm 52 and a smoker. should I be worried?

Brief answer....you should get yourself investigated
Detailed answer....
Hello,
Thanks for he query.
I gave read our query and understand your concern.
Frequent urination gives an indication of uncontrolled diabetes.
Trace of blood could be without reason or because of some infection in bladder.
Although not to be worried but it would be prudent on your part to get yourself investigated and consult a urologist.
Investigations required are....
Urine culture, blood sugar fasting and PP and ultrasound abdomen ( KUB )
Drink plenty of water and relax and nothing to worry.
I hope it helps, however you are most welcome to revert to me for any further query.
Best of luck
Thanks
