Brief Answer: You need further investigations. Detailed Answer: Hello XXXXX Thanks for writing to HCM You are suffering from dyslipidemia with liver injury. This is a common disease among adults due to changing life style. SGPT is towards upper range of normal value. It may be due to deposition of fat within the liver cells. SGOT is nonspecific and it may be increased in other diseases also. You also need few more investigations like routine hemogram,RBS(Random blood sugar),Complete LFT(Liver function test),RFT(Renal function test),Ultrasound of abdomen.Further investigations can be done if needed. . You also need life style modification and diet changes. You should reduce your weight also. You should avoid red meat, high fat milk products. Cook food in olive or canola oil. You should take limited salt in your diet.Avoid fried and junk food.Avoid alcohol & smoking if you take these things. Take lot of fruits and vegetables. You should also increase your physical activity in the form of walking and exercise. You can also do meditation and yoga.It will help you a lot. Don't take stress in life. You can take hypolipidemic drugs like tablet Atorvastatin 10 mg at night. It is important to know other parameters of lipid profile like triglyceride level. If it is increased too then, additional tablet Fenofibrate 160 mg can be taken at night along with tablet Atorvastatin. Get well soon. Hope I have answered your question. Further queries are most welcome. Take Care Dr.Indu XXXXXXX
