Question: Lower lip discoloration. upper part of lower lip is slight pink in color almost matching the inside part of the lip color while the bottom part of the lower lip is normal. I have had this problem before but nw it is more worse and noticable. Is it because of vitamin deficiency or exposure to sun?

Brief Answer:
List of most likely causes given sir

Detailed Answer:
Hello sir and welcome.

Thank you for writing to us.

I have gone through your query with diligence and would like you to know that I am here to help. Such type of discolouration is usually seen due to a few causes, let me list them out to you for your reference:

+Smoking: This is the most common cause, and if at all you are a smoker then look no further, this is most probably the cause for your discolouration. The constant use of cigarettes and the heat they produce over the lips results in darkening of one or both lips
+Anemia: Low haemoglobin levels
+Dry lips
+Sun exposure
+Poor or abnormal liver functions
+Side effect of medications
+Some eating disorders

I hope you find my response helpful. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications, I am always here to help.

Best wishes.
