Suggest Treatment For Delayed Periods When Diagnosed With Ovarian Cyst

Question: Hi. Its been 8 months since Ive had my period and I have an ovary cyst. My doctor prescribed primolut N. I was asked to take the treatment for 5 days then my period will resume. Its been 23 days since I took that last pill and I did not have the period again. Is it normal?

Thanks for the query to HCM,
As you have been amenorrhoeic since last 8 months and considering your age as well, there is all possibility that you may be into a possible menopause. i hope all possibilities of pregnancy and hormonal imbalance have been ruled out. If its not pregnancy then you may get a hormonal profile done with fsh, lh, and a serum estradiol levels . If fsh & lh are high and estradiol is low then you may be in menopause. please meet your gynecologist for the needful,
