Brief Answer:
Could be fungal infection, requires laryngoscopy

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

I had gone through your question and understand your concerns that he has cough with difficulty in swallowing.

I would like to ask you few more details.

Is there any wheeze or breathlessness ?

Kindly get back to me with the details.

As per your clinical details, it appears to be oral candidiasis ( over use of antibiotics) with bronchitis.

I suggest you to to consult ent surgeon and get detailed ENT examination, laryngoscopy ( to see the deeper part of throat, base of tongue and voice box abnormalities), If necessary X- ray chest to know the cause of cough. depending on the examination, treatment can be started.

Hope this answers your question, if you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.

Wishing you good health.
