Suggest Treatment For Bump In Vaginal Area

default
Posted on Sat, 28 Mar 2015
Question: I thought I had a bump on my vagina and I was going to have my boyfriend pop it. He said it was a sore like an ulcer. I swelled up and hurt like crap for a few days. I put regular ointment on it and it went away. I noticed that it started hurting after wearing a certain type of panties that was rough in that spot. My paps come back clear and this is the first time I have ever had a sore like that. I do get boils on that area and my groin when I am about to start my period.

What do you think it is?

Brief Answer:
Exclude serious infection

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear and thanks for your query.

As per your symptoms it seems that isn't a serious issue while you are predisposed to have genital boils, and this may be from
a simple infection.
But we can't exclude any other serious infection such as :
Syphilis
Chancroid
HSV 2
even if Pap smear was normal.
Hence have a pelvic exam with other exams to exclude infections that I mentioned above.
Best regards
