Question: Yes, my twelve year old so had viral Labrynthitis in January of 2016. He had severe symptoms of vertigo, nauseau and dizzines. After 6 weeks, the symptoms subsided. However, a few months later he developed Alopecia Areata on the back of his head, and loss of one eyebrow. After seeing a dermatologist and having a blood test for diabetes, the hair loss persists. The diabetes test came back negative, as well as the full blood panel. The bald spot on the back of his head is getting larger. He has lost both eye brows. Picture included

What should be our next plan of action?
An Endocrinologist? A blood test for Lupus? I am baffled.

Brief Answer:
about poliglandular autoimmune syndrome:

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for asking!
I can understand your concern regarding to your son's health.
Alopecia areata is a symptom caused by an autoimmune process and in most of the cases autoimmunity may affect other organs. One of them is pancreas, causing type 1 Diabetes, that you have excluded.
The next step would be the evaluation of the thyroid function and the presence of thyroid antibodies. Vit B12 defficiency, celiac disease ect. should be excluded, so an endocrinologist would be helpful.
Hope the information will help.
