Good morning Dr XXXXXXX

I would like to thank you for looking into my query, please see the responses as follows :

1) For the past 1 year, I'm suffering from GERD.
2) No weight loss as such. My current weight is 77. My height is 5'7.
3)Some times I could find a burning sensation, indigestion problem in my stomach. Before 5 months, whenever I take snaks at night times, Usually acid raises and come out of my nose. As advised by doctor I have stopped the intaking of fried items or snaks,at night.
which has reduced my problem.
4) No constipation.
5) yes I have loose stools. Its always in a semi solid state.
6) No history of Anemia.
7) No painkiller i've taken.
8) I dont have smoking or drinking habit. Currently I work for an IT company, there is lot of stress and I always take dinner at late nights( during 11 or 12).

Really worried about my problem doctor. It's just annoying. Please suggest me is there any cure for this or do I need to go for any Laprascopy surgery. Also, ive learnt from internet sources that GERD can cause cancer as well. Need your advise on this. Also, freaquent intake of vanilla ice creams has some how reduced my problems.

Thanks,
XXXX

Brief Answer:
Two possibilities.

Detailed Answer:
Dear Friend.
I would keep 2 possibilities that are associated with GERD:
1. Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)
2. Mal absorption Syndrome like Celiac Disease.

Since you have frequent loose stools, I would advise you first of all to get a test done that is Anti-TTG Antibody.
This would rule out any possibility of Celiac Disease.
Till then you continue with the combination of Pantoprazole and Domperidone once a day.
If this test comes out to be negative, I would treat you for IBS.
Don't think; I would advice just get this blood test done.
Review with report.
Stay Healthy
