Suggest Remedy For Fatigue And Vertigo When Diagnosed With Sinusitis

Question: I saw my GP on Tuesday. I was diagnosed with labrynthitis and URI possibly sinusitis I am unsure which one. On Thursday I felt very well and was sure I was on the right track to recovery. However, I had a brief period Friday morning that was high stress and high activity. Friday afternoon I developed very bad vertigo type symptoms and became extremely fatigued. All I have really wanted to do is sleep the last two days. My vertigo symptoms has gotten slightly better. However they are still present. Most concerning is I have aches and pains in my arms left side is worse. It does not necessarily feel weak but it feels sore as if I reecently worked out. I also have this feeling on my right side but the left arm feels this way all the way through my hand. I do not think it has lost any dexterity. However, I have also had facial tingling for maybe three weeks now as my vertigo type symptoms slowly got worse. I have a history of hsv-1 outbreak along my trigeminal nerve. The tingling comes and goes and seems more prevalent with the vertigo symptoms. What is your opinion on the accuracy of the labrynthitis diagnosis? I am admittedly very scared as I have never felt like this before and there seem to be a many diagnoses that are far worse. The most concerning symptom is the tingling and fatigue. If you could explain this ot would be most appreciated.
thank you!

Brief Answer:
Self resolving , no worries.

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

Inner ear infection and upper respiratory tracts involvement always present with fatigue and significant vertigo. Good thing is it self resolves and demands nothing else than symptomatic care with antivert , meclizine etc.

As far as facial tingling and sensations is concerned its not the nerve, its the sinuses. These present with such tingling. I am sure you have been prescribed with some decongestants, some antibiotics and some relief for this issue.

No need to be scared. HSV is totally resolving in a week and even if you get it recurrence which is highly unlikely, you still will be fine.

Your work out recently is also the reason of this muscle fatigue.

Rest assured everything is fine and these symptoms are innocuous and self resolution is the ultimate result within a few weeks. Just hang in there and stay in touch with your otorhinolaryngologist.

Take care

Thank you for your response. I may not have been clear in explaining, but I havent worked out nearly a week. However, my shoulders and arms feel very fatigued as if I had worked out. This fatigue is worse on the left side where my facial numbness is. Also, I am not currently having an hsv-1 outbreak. I simply have a history of these outbreaks and take valocycloviras a suppression therapy. I have not had an outbreak since july. Do you still believe all my symptoms are merely related to the URI and labrynthitis? Lastly, my tingling and mild numbness is intermittent and comes and goes. But as you said, originates from my sinuses where I feel heavy pressure.

Thank you again!

Brief Answer:
Yes i do.

Detailed Answer:

yes i do, Now that you have added anti virals too, that makes them more likely too. Just wait for them to resolve. Rest for a while. take symptomatic treatment and stay in touch with your doctor. These symptoms have the tendency to self resolve always.

Take care
