Thanks for posting your query

The best treatment for sinusitis is steam inhalation. Inhaling steam from a bowl of hot (but not boiling water) may help to soften and loosen the mucus buildup. You can also add some menthol crystals, or eucalyptus oil to the water and it helps a lot.

Other useful measures are:
1. Avoid eating indigestible, spicy, foods and meats and eat simple wholesome foods.
2. Have plenty of fruits containing Vitamin C as oranges, lime, lime juice, grape juice, etc.
3. Out-of-door exercise, sunbaths also help a lot.
4. In the morning have few XXXXXXX (tulsi) leaves with honey. It helps in controlling symptoms.
5. Practice some yoga techniques as Pranayama which are quite effective in treating this condition.

In addition, a detailed ear, nose and throat examination by your doctor to rule out allergic nasal polyps, allergic reactions, deviated nasal septum, trauma to the face, saline /steroid nasal sprays to decongestants and antibiotics depending on the associated cause. Some resistant cases may need surgery.
