Brief Answer:
No dietary restriction

Detailed Answer:
I understand your question. I am asked this same query by hundreds of my thyroid patients everyday.
The answer is simple. There is no need to limit any fruit or vegetable in particular, as long as it is consumed in moderation, in a balanced way.

It is indeed true that cruciferous vegetables like cabbage, cauliflower, spinach, broccoli and soya can hamper thyroid hormone production. However this occurs only when these are eaten in large quantities that typically one does not do.

Moreover, when the thyroid gland is completely not working, and one is on thyroid medication (called levo thyroxine) then it really does not matter what impact these vegetables have on the thyroid. Because it is not working properly anyhow.

One way to know if your thyroid is not functioning at all, is to determine how high your TSH (a blood test for thyroid) has ever risen to, and whether your current dose of thyroxine( if you are on it) is above 112 mcg daily. These are two rough indicators. A final diagnosis can be achieved only by consulting an Endocrinologist personally who will have the opportunity to examine you thoroughly.
