Brief Answer:
There is no cause for concern

Hi
Welcome to Healthcare-Magic
Greetings of the day
Woman in Perimenopausal age group have predisposition to have Urinary tract infection. As your age is 46 which is near to menopause, there is predisposition for urinary tract infection. Its due to decrease in oestrogen and Progesterone which offer a protective role in prevention.
As in your case there is no cause for worry
1. Ultrasound: it has just revealed infection of bladder implying only lower urinary tract infection. Kidney and Ureter are normal. This is very much reassuring
2. No fever: As you have no Fever it's very much reassuring.
3. If you don't have any urinary complaints there is no cause for concern.
I would suggest you the following
1. Good quantity of water: Ensure water intake of 2 to 3 liter per day. It will ensure good output of urine. The high output will clear urine infection by flushing action.
2. Urine routine and microscopy: repeat a urine examination if you have persistent urine symptoms.
Do get back to me if you need any further assistance, will be glad to assist you.

Sir,i did have fever, and still do,not as high as before, but cant seem to get it below 100°f.( oral), and i had a hysterecomy 4 years ago do to bilateral uterine carsinoma. Does that matter? I have been drining tons of water, should i see a urologist?
Brief Answer:
isolated Cystitis does not usually cause fever
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Greetings
Dear Ms
Presence of persistent fever does require thorough investigation before attributing the cause of fever to Urinary tract infection. Uncomplicated Cystitis that is infection of urinary bladder without involvement of Kidney and Ureter does not normally cause such persistent fever. Only in Cystitis fever is usually not seen.
I would suggest you to consult your Urologist for further detailed investigation. You may also require Cystoscopy for further assessment.
Do get back to me if you need any further assistance, will be glad to assist you.
Wishing you a very happy and healthy life.
Take care
