Hi XXXXXX

Thanks for posting your query. I have gone through the details with diligence and I am very sorry to hear the tremendous problem and pressure you are facing. I will try to explain your condition in detail for as much as possible:

1) Yes, it seems you are suffering with premature menopause. This condition is known to occur in few people. You are one of them.

2) The result of this - you have low Anti-Mullerian Hormone (AMH) and high Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH) hormone results. Unfortunately these levels are irreversible. It will be very difficult to improve the levels of these hormones to benefit you.

3) You can take Progynova and progesterone tablets as suggested to keep your periods going on. I would have to say that if you stop tablets you may not get periods.

4) Egg production is known to be affected with such hormone levels. You may not be able to produce eggs with such levels. So there is no point in going for invitrofertilization (IVF) - they may not succeed. Only solution is going for IVF with donor ovum (means eggs from an egg donor who is ready to donate eggs for you). These eggs can be combined with your husband's sperms and make an embryo which can be put inside your womb. Egg donor can be your relative or a professional egg donor from an accredited centre.
Discuss about this option with your family and your treating doctor.

6) The hormone levels have nothing to do with sex life. Perhaps it's the stress within the family and the medical condition affecting your sexual functions. I suggest try to reduce your stress levels through yoga and meditation.

Hope I have answered your queries. I am available for any follow-up query if any.

Hi XXXXXX

I meant to say continue the cyclical tablets. That is stopping to get periods and again starting after periods as you are doing now. Because if you dont take tablets you may not get periods.

Its just 4 days since you have stopped tablets. Please wait for another 6 days, you might get periods.

You have good chance of conceiving by donor egg IVF. Visit a good IVF centre and ask for blastocyst transfer which has higher success rates.

If you have no more queries, please accept my answer and close the query.
