Question: What changes did they make to my pain medication, Lortab 10 mg? Which is now Norco. There is a huge difference in the pain level reaction. It is much less effective.

Brief Answer:
It is the same medication!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so mcuh for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this change and the inconveniences that this has caused you. These two medications are exactly the same in terms of active ingredients( Acetaminphen and Hydrocodone). The only difference comes from the fact that Norco contains 325mg of acetaminophen while lortab contains 500mg.

Though they are the same on paper, having used both, you are able to tell lortabb is better than Norco. Tell your doctor he should use the brand name Lortab and not Norco for you and this would be done with no difficulty. They would gladly adjust this brand to what works best for you.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thanks for using our services and do feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.
