Questions and answers on "Norco"

I had a D&C procedure to terminate a pregnancy today, I am a medical cannabis patient (and have been for 4 years) and was wondering compared to the Norco (10/325) and tramadol (50mg) that I am prescribed, if any of these would have any affect on my healing process. Cannabis helps with the pain I endure from Endometriosis far better than the norco and tramadol have helped. though I would like to have a doctors opinion.

Hi,
I think the only issue with Tramadol at times is it can lead to dependence. But its already good if you are ok with Norco. Think its ok for now.
Thanks and best regards,
Luchuo, MD.

my doctor changed me to Norco 10 as of 1/14, it doesn't seem to alieaviate the pian in my back and shoulders as much is there anything else I can do the job I do is almost constant lifting and pulling of patients and I am not having as much relief now

doctor1 MD

if you have to be on medicines for pain , it calls for that you have a change of nature of work as lifting weights and patients would be an impediment to healing.get your spine thouroughly examined and screened by spine specialist and if he recommends change of occupation/nature of work to...

Been using norco for nearly 7 years. When i first used the drug i just used the prescribed amount at 4-6 pills a day for my back problems. Now i can use up to 12-16 pills a day, if not 24 on days when my back keeps me bed ridden. Everytime i whean off the drug i get treamendous detoxificated side-effects that hurt my entire body. Never tried wheaning off the drug for more than 12 hours because the pain is too much. I'm thinking of checking myself into a detox for medical observation, but would try to see if anyone on the internet has had prior success with A COMFORTABLE DETOX.

doctor1 MD

Not really in two dimensions.
First, there is the dimension you are thinking about. There is going to be some withdrawal. The COMFORTABLE DETOX method is inferior to suboxone.

But besides the relationship between drug and withdrawal, there is also the relationship between the relationship! How...

I got this sharp electric pain in my left knee maybe four months ago and I went to my family doctor. He gave me a pain killer, Norco, which didn't take the pain away so I didn't take the pills, but eventually the pain stopped. Now the pain is back again. It's shooting electric pain that pulsates. What kind if doctor should I see?

doctor1 MD

Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am sorry to hear about this shooting electric pain. Your primary care doctor is the best person to start with. Get back to him and he would evaluate the treatment and make adjustments accordingly. At least he would have known that the other treatment...

Have you found a replacement drug for the new white NORCO? The yellow, 10/325-Watson worked extremely well for me for 5 years. The white pills do not. It's a dramatic change, and a genuine loss to the quality of life. My doctor is with Kaiser. I'm sure he would let me try something new - but with 1,350 patients - his time to research what may or may not work for me is limited! Thank you in advance for any suggestions you may have.

I seen my dr. yesterday & she took me off the butrane patch because I felt I was having side effects from it. I've been on the patch for 5 months. I'm only taking norco at this time. I feel restless, can't be still. My dr said that as long as I was getting my other pain med that I shouldn't have any problems with withdrawals. Could I be having slight withdrawals?

doctor1 MD

Hi,

Yes, you can be having withdrawal from stopping Butrans patch if you are on the same dose of Norco as before. Since your body was used to a certain amount of Norco and Butrans, if one of these is stopped suddenly, the other alone in the same dose as previously is not sufficient to do what the...

I have been taking Norco for almost a year due to Lumbar Fusion. Every once in a while I have a heavily bloody stool that lasts several days. I went to the emergency room once a few months back and they said I was just constipated although I didn t think that to be the answer. Should I be concerned? It is a LOT of blood.

I have an acute and painful Osteoarthritis...my pain is so bad that my orthopedic surgeon stated that most people with x-rays like mine would be in a wheelchair but I tolerate pain more than most people. I have been taking Norco, a yellow pill from Watson Manufacturers and just refilled my prescription a few days ago. In the morning I admit that I can hardly walk when getting up from bed so I took one and it was as if I never took anything. So about an hour later I took another at which time I noticed the pill was white, still I did not have an relief at all. Called the pharmacist to see if they gave me the wrong medicine and was assured they didn't and she said that Watson is no longer using the yellow dye. I am not addicted to pain medicine as a matter of fact I did not take any after noon time all day long until this morning...I know there is a big difference! What do you suggest? Now I see one has to pay for an answer and certainly cannot afford that so thanks anyway

u can check with other modes of conservative management with hyaluronic acid intra articular injections or steroid injections, if ur pain is not so severe , if it is very severe , options left with u is either joint replacement or joint arthrodesis

Hello. I was taking Lorcet 10/650 and have been changed to Norco 10mg. The Norco is not working for me. It doesn t help the pain as much and it has given me really bad heartburn. I was wondering what other medicine I could take that would be closer to the Lorcet. I was told that the doctors and pharmacies are no longer filling the Lorcet and have swithched to Norco. What other pain medicine is available that would work, or be available to me.
