Is It Safe To Take Nexium While Having Allergic Reaction To Flagyl And Amoxicillin?

Question: I have had abdominal pain for 2 weeks now with dirrhea my stool sample came back with toxins from macrodanton for a uti now doctor wants to put me on another drug called metronide I have diviticulitis asthma and take 1 nexium daily plus asthma and allergies to flagyl amoxicillin penicillin ect is this drug safe for me and will it cause more bowel problems?

I read your question and I understand your concern. Nitrofurantoin also called macrodantin is notorious for colitis symptoms like your case. Your doctor has advised very right for metronidazole. It is perfectly safe for the indication and will help your diverticulitis symptoms ad well. So yes take it and do as directed by your doctor.

Soft fibrous diet preferably BRAT diet like ( Banana, Rice, Applesauce and Toast ). Herbal tea and pomegranate juice will help the symptoms.
