Question: im on contraceptive pills, and I have not had my periods for a week , is it possible that I might be pregnant ?
Because I have done a home pregnant test and it came up negative.

I have an eleven month old son, and so I went on birth control tablets, after a month he was born,
I am 175cm(height) I am 87kilos.
As far as I know I have not missed a day.

Hello dear,thanks for the information. I understand your concern.

In my opinion the hormonal pills are the effective of all contraceptive methods. So failure rate is very less with correct intake.
So as you haven't missed the pill the chances of pregnancy might be less.
I suggest you to repeat the test after a week and wait for spontaneous onset of periods for one week.
The prolactin hormone present in the body might also interfere with periods making them irregular.
If the repeat test is negative with no period then you need a consultation with doctor for further management.
