Is Conception Possible After A Myomectomy ?

Question: I had a divinci myomectomy on 8/27/14 and I had my first period on 9/23/14 and it was the worst ever. It felt like I was being stuck with pins and needles in my uterus and very heavy bleeding. It only lasted for four days unlike my periods prior to my surgery that lasted seven days. I started my second period yesterday 10/17 and it's not as bad as the first one but more like normal cramps prior to my surgery but still painful. I guess my question is will they get better? I don't want to have done this surgery in vein. My doctor did say he couldn't get all the fibroids as there were so many but they are very small and wanted to not damage my uterus. I am 37 and I at least would like to have one child which I'm told will be by c-section.

Hello, I understand your health concerns.
It will definitely get better in some time and may be by next cycle itself.
But after 3 months try the best for conception and its very important to conceive as soon as possible because fibroids have a tendency to regrow while in reproductive age group.

Thank you! I was told that taking ibuprofen has lasting effects after taking for so many years which I have done but only during my cycles. Someone told me to try extra strength Tylenol with naproxen. Is naproxen something I can get over the counter?

No I don't think you can get it over the counter.
And its better if you take hot water bottle and give it heat therapy along with paracetamol tablet as it has minimal side effects unlike naproxen.
