Question: If there is a possibiity that a person has mild sleep apnea, very little snoring, and is due to have anesthesia for arthroscopic knee surgery, is there a danger to them to be under anesthesia?

No, there are no risks for a person to undergo anesthesia and to sustain the surgery if he has mild sleep apnea and very little snoring.

Actually the anesthesiologist will look up for any major heart, lungs, kidney or liver disease before starting the anesthesia for the surgery. If there is no such major organ issue there is no problem undergoing anesthesia even if the patient has sleep apnea and snoring. During the whole surgery, the Anesthesiologist keeps a strict eye on the blood saturation and the major organ functions to ensure everything is going fine.
