Brief Answer:
no smoking; alcohol in moderation

Detailed Answer:
Dear Sir
1. Smoking is an absolutely no for all persons who have coronary artery disease or who want to avoid coronary artery disease. Hence there is no question of lighting even a single cigarette.
2. Guidelines do not recommend that anyone should start drinking alcohol because of its neutral or doubtful beneficial effect on heart. It only says that those already consuming alcohol must switch down to 1-2 units of alcohol per day. That means 60-120 ml of whisky per day. But one must not forget that it is dangerous in this amount too for those with decreased pumping of heart and those with rhythm disorders of heart. beside, it may have bad effect on your liver, muscles and nerves. Hence, if everything else permits, one must not consume more than 120ml of whisky in a day. Best is too avoid it altogether.

Sincerely
Sukhvinder
