Question: What causes vomiting and diarrhoea at the same time? My 6 yr old has had this since yesterday evening. She has no temp.

Hello,
Thanks for query and i have noted all details.
Most likely cause of her symptoms is gastroentritis better termed as inflammation of the inner lining of intestines due to infection.
I childrens most likely its viral and selflimiting in nature.
For loose motion give her imodium 2mg twice daily(OTC)
And Zofran 2mg twice daily for vomiting.

Giver her plenty of oral rehydration solution to keep her hydrated.
Infection will settle down in 3-5 days.
