thanks for posting query.

hiatal hernia may lead to reflux of acid from stomach into distal part of esophagus which may lead to epigastric pain, heartburn.

OTC nexium ( esomprazole) 40mg once daily may provide symptomatic relief.
however, your advised to consult a general surgeon to advise you for the management of hiatal hernia.
