How Can A Cyst In The Ovary Be Treated?

default
Posted on Thu, 14 Sep 2017
Question: Hi, I was recently diagnosed with a collapsible cyst on my right ovary on 7/11/17. I have had steady cramping for the months prior to this and since the diagnosis. Nothing excruciating, but definitely noticeable on a daily basis. I do feel pain at times on my left side as well as the righ and have noticed irregular periods (more spotting days and only 3 weeks between them vs 4 prior to XXXXXXX 2017). In the last few days my bladder has been feeling very full and the area around my ovaries are even more sensitive (not comfortable on my stomach - and bloated.) I thought I may have a UTI - unrelated to the cyst. Gave a urine sample yesterday and this is negative for a UTI. Should I be worried this is in fact related to the cyst? Should I be more worried about ovarian cancer or anything of that nature? I have not done my usual workouts this week because it feels way better to sit than to try and be active. If not a UTI or related to the cyst, now what? What I am feeling is definitely not normal. Thank you!!!

Brief Answer:
send the entire report for review?

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about these With a negative urine test, it is clear that you do not have an infection. To weigh in more on this, i will need to review the ultrasound report. There are elements such as the size, number of cysts, consistency, etc are necessary to be able to weigh in. For this reason, I recommend that you upload the entire report. I strongly think that these symptoms are closely related to your cysts.
