Brief Answer:
no worry about HIV and hep c

Detailed Answer:
The viruses that you mentioned cannot survive outside human. So if the blood or other body fluid that transmits these touches the thorn and gets dried the germs do not survive.

So let me comfort you saying that the chances are less through the mode described by you above.

You should be worried about tetanus and other bacteria. So please get a vaccination even if you did not bleed.

Brief Answer:
No literature

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

the chances of contracting HIV AND HEPATITIS C specially in the above mentioned way were not present in any reliable literature. There were no research studies done in this particular transmission. If I say less chances I cannot say how much less it is. There are number of factors to consider. Whether there was blood earlier or not, if the person whose blood was had HIV or HepC or not, if the blood was wet or dry. So overcoming all these I feel the chances are less.

If you look at the literature they did not mention this kind of transmission in the least possible risk as well. The other way of confirming the objectivity of transmission is testing the blood. Even before going through these you should get facts right and some personal counseling to allay all the fears. You can also ask for Post exposure prophylaxis.

We call your injury as stick injuries and not real bleeds. That was why I was saying that you did not bleed as cut injury.

This is all I have it for your information today.

What about syphylis in the above situation (the incident described in the original post)??and also the risk of the following std if i accidently lick some other person's fingers for one or two seconds...(the fingers had no cuts)?
hepatitis A
hepatitis C
hepatitis B
hpv
herpes
syphylis
hiv

So these are my questions and the risks...
i accidently used a penand put the pen in my mouth and cut my gum...i bled a little

Does any of the incidents including the original plant thorn incident warrant testing and is it high risk...
please take every detail into account and answer efficiently...??
Please let me know if any of the incident including the original post warrant testing...
what would you have done...would you have gotten tested or just forget the incidents and live your life ...??

Brief Answer:
I would get std testing

Detailed Answer:
Hi

If I were you though I know the chances of HIV, hep B hep C, syphilis are extremely low, I would end up at the test center for STD screening.

Technically it does not sound logical testing for sexually transmitted diseases without sexual encounter. But to keep myself comfortable and go ahead in life or transform my current worry to a more positive energy. I would test it and when I find the labs as non reactive, I would tear it.

Pin pricks are not usual modes of std transmission.
