Done Total Cholesterol Level, HDL, LDL. Normal?

Question: My total cholestrol level is 117. The HDL is 61 and my LDL is 46. Is this good levels?

Here are the normal recommended levels of Cholesterol:

Total Cholesterol: Less than 200 mg/dl.
HDL (High Density Lipoproteins), which protective for the heart: 60 mg/dl or higher.
LDL (Low Density Lipoprotein): Less than 100 mg/dl.
Triglycerides: Less than 150 mg/dl.


As per the above recommended levels, your Lipid Profile is within healthy range.

Your Total Cholesterol level is absolutely normal. It is not necessary that total cholesterol needs to be minimum 125 mg/dl.

Optimum goal is to maintain the Total Cholesterol below 200 mg/dl.
